Kid Pics - by Linz

For my birthday Brad got me a new DVD about photographing kids. I finally had a chance to watch it this afternoon. I still have a lot to learn, but there were a lot of intersting points.

They talked a lot about taking photos that show your child's interests and are indicitave of the phases of life that they are in . The idea is to use details and environment to help tell the story.
So with all of my new knowledge I was inspired to practice. Here's what I aneded up with:

Note: I am not showing favortism...Spencer was the only kid at home!

This one will mean more to those of you who know that Spencer has been banished to the top bunk for naps. He kept getting out of bed at naptime, so I started putting him on the top bunk and taking the ladder down...I know, I know it's not a proud parenting moment.

I love little hands. That's a Bob the Builder toy, a favorite around here.

***Now, I am the type who would usually spank a fit thrower, rather than photograph them, but in the interest of creating an acurate portrayal of this phase of life....here ya go! They don't call it the "terrible twos" for nothing!

The wind up...

And the grand finale!
I like this one because everything is washed out which only accentuates his angry, red face.
