Guitar, Parade, Buzzes - by Brad

Of all three boys, Spencer has shown the most interest in playing guitar and singing. We will work on getting some video of him singing. His new favorite song is "fee fi fidd-ye i o" a.k.a. "I've Been Working on the Railroad". He has pretty good form for a two-year old.

We went to the Wenatchee's Apple Blossom parade on Saturday. We met up with some friends and their three kids. With the excitement of the parade, it was surprisingly relaxing in cramped quarters with 6 kids!

Spencer covered his ears every time the marching bands came by...

Elliott was going on and on all morning about how much he wanted cotton candy, so we finally bought a bag for the kids to share. After Elliott had a few bites he said, "I guess I don't really like cotton candy."

Last night was buzz-night for the Posenjak boys (including myself). This involves two crying kids and one squirmy kid (not including myself). At least this time I didn't clip any ears.

OH, I would like to request, in addition to the video of Spencer singing, a video of buzz haircuts. Carson is terrified--absolutely terrified--of the clippers and breaks into screams and shakes at the mention of it. How do you get your kids to get through it?

PS: It's nice to see you guys blogging more!

Yes, Spencer screams the whole time... it is a team effort of Lindsey trying to distract him and me holding him down. Wesley just kicks and screams... now it seems that only the threat of me cutting his ears seems to make him hold still for a few seconds. Sometimes you almost have to put 'em in a headlock and buzz away.

Elliott is pretty good now. He finally got used to it after 4 years of it. We used to try to baby the kids by letting them hold the clippers, feeding them candy. But anymore, we don't really care if they scream :-) we just want it done.

The shorter we shave it, the longer we can go until we have to do it again!

We'll see about that video :-)
