The Wetlands - by Brad

This weekend we took a couple hours and went for a walk in the nice warm sunshine. We went to the local wetlands park where the Wenatchee River meets the Columbia River. The boys always like the excitement of what they might see here.

Elliott and Wesley acting like they like each other... sporting (manly) necklaces Lindsey made for them earlier in the morning...

We were all impressed with the diligence of the resident beavers, who felled many trees in the park. There were also many trees with metal netting around them because the beavers were trying to take down some of the largest trees in the park. Elliott is sitting on a tree that was chewed down by the beavers...

Spencer has a little trick he likes to do where he walks looking up at the sky (or ceiling) with his eyes squinted. Needless to say he has incurred a few casualties in a house that is frequently littered with toys in the walking paths. Here he was pretty safe...

My matching babies...

While Elliott was looking through the binoculars, he was certain that he saw some frogs. It's not that I don't believe him... it's just that rocks in a marsh can also look like frogs...

The men surveying the layout and scanning for wildlife...

Spencer did enjoy himself, but I think for this picture he was just scared from how Lindsey was driving the stroller... oh shoot, that's me behind the stroller...

Me and Wes...
