Tonasket - by Brad

On Thursday we drove up to Tonasket to visit Uncle Rick and Aunt Violet. They have 80 acres way out in the middle of nowhere. We had a great time doing a lot of hiking and a little ATV-ing around their cabin.

With all the hiking, and not much napping, Spencer fell asleep while riding on my shoulders...

There was a large rock that Elliott and Wesley had a fun time climbing.

Wesley is very confident on his feet. He was standing up next to the 6 foot edge and jumping up and down. We aren't sure where he got his fearlessness of heights... it certainly isn't from his parents...

Uncle Rick had a couple wooden guns that Elliott and Wesley were playing with. Spencer felt a little left-out, so Rick quickly made Spencer one also...

A highlight for the boys was getting to play on the ATVs. Rick and I took Elliott and Wesley for a long ride...

Then Lindsey and I got to go on a short ride by ourselves...

We saw all kinds of wildlife while we were there. White-tailed deer, wild turkeys, large ant-hills, and we even found two ticks crawling on Wesley and Spencer... good thing we saw them before they burrowed in. One of the most entertaining animals was this toad... or frog... or whatever it is...

That looks like a lot of fun...especially the kid sleeping on your shoulders and the ATV riding...and the rock climbing...maybe Wes got that from me.
