Nay! - by Brad

I don't remember what form of media Elliott was viewing, but a couple months ago he heard someone say "Nay" (in the Shakespearean way). He asked me what it meant, so I explained that it was an old way to say "No".

Several weeks went by and apparently this word was churning in the back of his mind. He decided to add it to his vocabulary and started replacing every "no" with "nay". The funniest part was when we would ask him if he wanted something and he would reply, "Nay thanks."

I know there isn't much to this post, and it might not be humorous at all unless you heard him, but it is a good way for me to document something that I might otherwise forget 5 years down the road.

It is funny...even reading it. I hope he's still saying it when we see you guys in a couple weeks!

That reminds me of how Logan found out that "glutes" is the aerobics-video version of the word "butt", and that it is okay to use in any setting, whereas saying "butt" can get you in trouble at times. So now he'll refer to "wiping my glutes" or "farting out of my glutes" (yes, he won't say butt, but he'll say fart, go figure). It's the funniest thing and always catches me off guard when I hear it. :) I'm half expecting him to learn-say "glute-head" one of these days. :)
