Lincoln City '08 (part 1) - by Brad

Going to Lincoln City with the Bunches has been a little summer tradition for us the past few years (see 2007 and 2006). It's a long drive from Wenatchee, but it is well worth it.

The first big activity on our agenda was to drive up to Pacific City and let the boys play on the big sandy hill there.

It was a beautiful sunny day, but the wind was blowing pretty hard and it felt like a sand blaster hitting your legs. I ended up carrying Wesley and Spencer much of the time. They enjoyed watching the Coast Guard helicopter fly by...

After Pacific City, we drove up to the Tillamook Cheese Factory and took the self guided tour. We forgot to bring in our camera, so we don't have any pictures to post. The boys (and their parents) were mesmerized watching the cheese being sliced, weighed, and packaged. We had some cheese samples, ate hamburgers while being stared at by a cow painting, and then had some ice cream. Who knew a cheese factory could be so entertaining?

We also had time to relax at the beach house we stayed at. We played a lot of cribbage and a version of Rummy Mike taught us. Becky was very gracious handling Elliott's constant nagging to play games with him.

I thought I would throw in this picture just because I thought it was funny. I don't remember what song Spencer was listing to, but he seemed to enjoy that I let him play with my iPod for a few minutes...

More Lincoln City posts to come...

Yeah! What a great tradition. We love spending such uninterrupted time with your family. It's so fun to see the boys interacting together. Your three are quite the entertainment for Jack. I can't wait to see how their relationships develop in the next few years!
