Snowy Day - by Linz

Number of minutes it takes to get ready to play in the snow: 8
Number of minutes spent playing in the snow: 4

....unless you give them snow shovels!

After about fifteen minutes of trying to make a "snow fort" with two inches of rapidly melting snow, (and trying, without success, to talk Wesley into trading shovels) Elliott came to me with a very worried look on his face and said, "Mom, that snow shovel is useless, I need a more un-uselss one."

Lots Going On - by Brad

So, we haven't blogged much lately since things have been busy. I have been swamped at work and Lindsey got the house ready for Thanksgiving and company, as well as squeezing Wesley's birthday in.

During Thanksgiving, Lindsey's sister's family stayed with us. The kids all had a great time playing. Elliott and Amy are only a few months apart (even though Amy is several inches taller), and they loved playing together for a few days.

We had Lindsey's family over for Thanksgiving. It was pretty stress-free since everyone else brought food. We only had to provide the space. There were a total of 16 kids and 17 adults. Below (from the top, left to right by stair): Wesley, Zeke, Ella, Eden, Hope, Abby, Claire, Hannah, Spencer, E.J., Amy, Lydia, Logan, and Elliott (Maisy and Madelyn are not pictured).

Then we had Wesley's 3rd birthday party on Saturday (even though Friday was his birthday). The cake is supposed to look like a "3" made of tools. It may not have been our best design, but it beat Elliott's cake a few months ago that was so bad it didn't make the blog.

Finally, today we got our first dusting of snow for this season! Not really enough for the boys to play in, but it lets us know that winter is on it's way. I guess we can officially move from the Thanksgiving mode into the Christmas mode.

Wrestling Boys - by Brad

So this video is a little on the long side, but I enjoy analyzing their wresting moves. I like how Elliott laughs the whole time, Spencer screams a lot, and Wesley throws a few punches and kicks. Now we just need some "stretchy pants"...

Halloween 07 - by Brad

I guess it's better late than never... here are some pictures from Halloween (a week ago). Wesley wouldn't touch the pumpkin goo...

Spencer enjoyed chewing on the lid... he must have seen the pictures of Wesley from last year...

A little while ago, my sister gave us a bunch of dress-up stuff her kids had stopped playing with. For Halloween, we had the boys go to the dress-up box and pick what they wanted to be. It was a minimal thought process this year... and Spencer sported a recycled costume of Wesley's from a couple years ago...

Then Lindsey added mustaches...

She wanted to add a mustache to Spencer, but it would have looked out of place on little Yoda...
