Fun with Numbers - by Brad

At our church youth group on Wednesday, one of the high school guys shared a spiffy number trick with me. Take any three digit number, multiply by 7, multiply by 11, and then multiply by 13.

Do you notice anything cool about the result?

Come on... don't read any further until you try one!

At first I thought it must have taken a mathimatical genius to have figured that out, but then I noticed that 7 x 11 x 13 = 1001. Multiplying by 1000 adds three zeros to your three digit number. Then you add the three digit number on top of those three zeros. You don't fool me Mr. Not-So-Mathematical-Genius-Man!

I finally got my junk email folder operating correctly at work. So for the fun of it, I didn't delete a single junk email since last Friday at 5:00.

I know you are wondering, "Just how many junk emails did Brad receive in 168 hours?"

The answer is...

In other words, over the last week I received one junk email every 13 minutes.

Okay, so I am just a big math nerd. Stay tuned next week for...
Fibonacci's Sequence!

WWSLH (part 2) - by Brad

Thanks to Peaby and his photo editing skills, we have a clean picture of what we expect Spencer to look like at 2 to 3 months old. Again, this is after scientific analysis (or blind assumption) of Elliott and Wesley's features from their ultrasound pictures compared to Spencer's ultrasound pictures.

I will have to remember this photo in 5 months when Spencer is 2 months old. Then I can compare Spencer's actual looks to this projected image...

We Will Still Love Him - by Brad

Here are several things to make up for my lack of bjournalling...

1) I am very frustrated with a certain Ebay purchaser. We were selling our camera on Ebay and the person who purchased it is not paying for it. He gave me the excuse that he lost his job the day after he bought our camera. Likely story. Now I have to relist it and go through a bunch of hassles. Aaargh!

2) Elliott has gotten very excited about football. Last week, while we were at Red Robin, we watching the Seahawks barely win over the Rams. On the way home from Red Robin, Elliott asked me who my favorite football team was. I told him I liked the Seahawks. He replied, "I like the Rams." What a difficult child! Today, he is excited to watch the Seahawks play the Vikings. Since Elliott is so excited to watch football, I can disguise my own laziness by saying it's spending quality time with my boy!

3) Yesterday my dad and I were able to finish most of the remaining exterior trim on our house. This still leaves a lot of interior trim yet to be done. Anyway, I was very satisfied to get something done that has been bugging me for a year. Thanks again Dad!

4) I had a few extra minutes this morning, so I took the ultrasound pictures from each one of our boys and put them side-by-side. With only 85 days until Spencer arrives, we are trying to figure out what he will look like. After our initial analysis, we think that Spencer will have Wesley's forehead and nose, but Elliott's mouth and lips. Take a look for yourself...

If we take an Elliott - Wesley combo we get...

Elliott... and Wesley...

... and Spencer?

Oh dear. Please pray for him.

Busy - by Brad

This is probably one of the longest intervals between posts for me. Not that this should really count as a post, but at least it makes me feel like I am doing something.

I have been really busy at work the last couple weeks, so this has not allowed my mind to wander into strange ponderances. So you are spared from my odd thoughts... for now. However, it has also not allowed me to take many pictures of our kids. So there are currently no new pictures to post either.

Anyway, today I am getting the assistance of my father to help me blow out our irrigation lines so they don't freeze and crack over the winter. We are also going to try to put up the last of the exterior trim on our house.

On another note, we can feel Spencer rolling and kicking around now. We can feel his little body and we can push him around. I feel an obligation to push him around a lot in the womb, since he needs to be ready for his two older brothers. We have less than three months until he arrives!

Nerds - by Brad

If only my kids were older, they could be REALLY embarrassed by the content of this blog. Elliott received a pair of straw glasses that, when used, make my sons look really nerdy. Please take the time to look at some of my other picture posts so that you don't leave permanently scarred.

And yes, that is just juice.

Kickin' & Honkin' - by Brad

So Lindsey was driving the other day and she said to Elliott, "I can feel Spencer kicking in my belly."

Elliott was quiet for a second and then said, "If your belly was really big, Spencer would honk the horn!"

Oh, the mental picture she must have given him...
