Livin' la vida hotel - by Brad

This is probably one of those stories where you would've had to be there to think it's funny, but anyway...

We are currently in Tacoma because I am attending a work-related conference. Lindsey and the boys decided to come along to visit the zoo and do a little shopping. This evening we decided to go to the Olive Garden for dinner and Elliott got friendly chatting with the waitress.

They were talking about the zoo and what animals he saw, when out of the blue he said,

"I get to live in a hotel."

My mind immediately pictured a family who got evicted from their home, so they packed up their old station wagon with all their belongings and are paying by the week for a run-down motel in the middle of the desert... while still choosing to eat at the Olive Garden. [not that there's anything wrong with that]

So I sort of chuckled and said, "That didn't sound good". I then felt the need to explain that we were in town for a conference and that we weren't really just living in a hotel.

Anyway, the conference is good (at least as good as a finance conference can be), and the hotel we are at has free internet, so I am able to keep up on the blogging... whether it is worth-while or not.
