How lucky can one girl be? - by Linz

Well this is a little late but...

I got a drum set! Whoo-hoo!! I have been playing on the set at church while the youth group is practicing for worship. I just tried it one day and as it turns out, I can keep a beat. So, right away I loved it! What's not to love about getting to be loud and hit stuff? So as it turns out our drummer didn't show up to youth group one night...enter my chance to play a worship set. It was basic, but fun. And I didn't even throw Brad off when he was leading.

So when Brad got home from his trip two weeks ago, he walked in the door holding a bass drum and said, "will this color work for ya?" (It was red. My favorite!) Needless to say I was ecstatic! Now my job is to find the time to practice. So far the best time is when the boys are napping. Elliott and Wes are almost as excited as I am about the new set. It's considerably more difficult to practice with Elliott playing the high hat (which he has claimed as "his new instruments") and Wes kicking the bass drum pedal...chaos! Very enjoyable chaos.

Pa-rum-pa-pum-pum baby!

I really enjoy playing guitar with you on the drums!

Sweet! I was wondering how it was going. I thought maybe since you hadn't said anything, Brad had pawned them on the way home for wampum and brandy.

No brandy here. Although, I am a few cymbals short and Brad had been sporting some fine beaded accessories lately!

Beads, Brad? You're scaring me.
